AEDP Therapy in NYC, Brooklyn, and online
Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP) is an evidenced-based, somatic therapy that can help you to connect with your emotions and heal attachment wounds

Sometimes, emotions can feel so overwhelming or unbearable that it’s hard to sit with them. It may feel like no one can really relate to what you’re going through, leaving you to navigate those feelings on your own. This experience of aloneness in the face of overwhelming emotion can impact your mental and physical well-being, leaving you anxious, drained, or distant from those around you. You're not alone.
AEDP is a trauma-informed, experiential therapy that offers a safe, supportive environment for you to explore your emotions. Through this process, you can begin to heal from past wounds, build emotional resilience, and reconnect with a deeper sense of yourself. At its heart, AEDP focuses on healing relational trauma and undoing the aloneness, allowing you to safely face difficult emotions together with your therapist.
If you're ready to begin the journey of emotional healing, I’m here to support you every step of the way. I offer AEDP-informed therapy in NYC, Brooklyn, and virtually to anyone located in New York state.

Can I use my insurance?I currently practice at the Nelson Lacy Group under the supervision of Joseph (Jamie) Lacy, LCSW-R. The Nelson Lacy Group is an out-of-network provider. If your insurance plan has out-of-network benefits, you may be eligible for a partial or full reimbursement from your insurance provider. I am happy to provide you with therapy invoices at the end of each month so that you can submit a request for reimbursement from your insurance provider. You can check your coverage by contacting your insurance provider and asking the following questions: Do I have out of network mental health (or behavioral health) benefits? What is my out of network deductible and has it been met? After the deductible is met, what is the coverage amount (or percentage) per therapy session?
-
Can I use my FSA/HSA?Yes, you can use your FSA or HSA card to pay for your therapy sessions.

How many sessions will I need?Therapy is not one size fits all. Treatment can be short or long-term depending on severity of symptoms, frequency of sessions, and readiness for change, among other considerations. We will work together to assess your progress and adjust your treatment plan as needed in order to ensure the best possible outcomes for you.
